Introduction

This page layout can be used for almost any material that requires subheadings. The column of subheadings makes each section easy to pick out and gives the page a clean, uncluttered look.

You can place images in these paragraphs as well as text. Small images always work best. They are quicker to load and they make it easier for the reader to see more of the text at one time. For example, here are some in-line illustrations:

One technique that works well is for all the pictures to be the same height. They will then "tile" nicely in the column. You can vary the widths and still maintain the same tiled effect. I chose to leave the two pictures above at different heights, because the hight difference made the childen's drawings of school buildings look like they were on street. Notice how nice the pictures look with the backgrounds removed. Even though the illustrations are small, they had color and interest to the page.
