Align people,
computers, and tasks to your district's goals
We work with you and your staff to:
1. Align resources with goals
Identify your district's priority academic
and administrative goals as well as the most troublesome
tasks.
Analyze current alignment of available
resources to required tasks and goals.
Locate underutilized or misaligned resources.
Identify gaps in technical or human resources.
Review district policies and procedures
to evaluate impact on effective use of resources as well
as the balance struck between system security/efficiency
and user flexibility/empowerment.
2. Tune up IT Operations.
Daily tasks and time sinks. An
external observer can bring an unbiased perspective to a
review of routine tasks and emergency procedures in order
to articulate more efficient ways of meeting IT demands.
Balancing training and support.
We determine if policy and training effectively reduce unscheduled
support.
Technology assessment. We evaluate
overall IT infrastructure to provide evidence of required
upgrades, the need for standardization-or readiness for
deployment.
3. Integration. Is technology being
used effectively to meet both academic and administrative
goals? The answer to this question rarely lies solely with
the technology itself. Other issues we evaluate:
Whether required professional development
is timely and effective.
If sufficient advantage is taken of technology's
proven power to facilitate administrative tasks and simplify
reporting requirements.
If data is being efficiently collected,
appropriately aggregated, properly analyzed, and fully utilized
for long-term planning and operational improvement.
If communication among all stakeholders
is sufficient.
If successful technology integration
creates time for new activities.
