CLASP CST PM (Curriculum Sharing
and Support Tool for Project MEET) is a special edition of
the Curriculum Library Alignment Sharing Project software
tool, available to everyone, designed especially for Project
MEET teams and Teacher Professional Development specialists.
It is different from the standard edition of the CST because
it is focused on the instructional design elements emphasized
during the Project MEET Summer Institutes. The purpose of
the tool is to guide teachers through the often confusing
and increasingly complex process of developing standards-based
instructional plans that integrate the criteria of Good Models
of Teaching with Technology. It was developed by Mass Networks
for Project MEET through a grant from the US Department of
Education and is available for free to all districts.
Download Instructions:
1. Make sure that you have access to your
desktop or hard drive! You will be downloading an installer
from this web site to your hard drive, so ask your Network
Administrator if you need any special permissions (technologically
speaking) to complete this operation.
2. Click the link for your appropriate platform (Mac or PC)
3. A dialogue box will appear asking you what you would like
to do with the file you're downloading. Select "Save
This Program to Disk."
4. Select where on your hard drive you would like to put the
installer. The default - and easiest - location is your desktop
5. Click "Save," and the program will begin downloading
onto your computer. This process could take from 1-30 minutes,
depending on the speed of your connection.
6. Close your browser and look at your desktop; you should
see an installer icon that says, "Setup.exe." Double-click
this icon to install the CST.
7. Once the program is installed, you should be able to look
in your program file and see it. PC users will see a shortcut
to the MEET CST on their desktops. Once you've made sure that
the program installed correctly, drag the installer to the
trash can/recyling bin. You're done!
