Curriculum Group Releases Newest Curriculum Software: Toolkit v3.0

>>Return to Download

April 1, 2003 - The Curriculum Group announces today the release of a beta version of its new software, the Curriculum and Standards Toolkit Beta v3.0. Click here to download. This software was built specifically to address the needs of districts engaged in the curriculum revision process. It is expressly designed to support the Curriculum Group model of standards-based curriculum development.

This is not an "upgrade" to the old CLASP software; it is brand new software that focuses specifically on:
· Mapping standards to individual grade level outcomes
· Grouping outcomes into teachable "conceptual areas" or themes
· Defining the assessment tools and performance expectations of those outcomes

This version is a Beta and only includes "District Curriculum Tools." We are actively soliciting feedback from district users who download and test the software. We expect to release the final version in mid-June 2003, along with the "Teacher Tools" component designed to support the development of classroom curriculum (lesson plans, activities). For more information, read our Frequently Asked Questions.

Important Notes:

  • This version includes sample data to help users get a sense of what it looks and feels like with data entered. If you wish to begin using it to build your district's curriculum, follow these instructions.
  • If your district is using the CLASP CST software to manage your curriculum, there may not be an immediate reason to download the Toolkit Beta v3.0. Contact the Curriculum Group to discuss how, when and why to "switch over."
